When Lisa Nolan accepted the opportunity to attend massage therapy school over four years ago, she had absolutely no idea how much the experience would enrich her life. Lisa’s training journey introduced her to a “world” of natural healing that she now shares with others through therapeutic touch and compassion for her fellow beings. “I am thankful everyday that I not only have a job that I love but also believe in,” she says.Lisa’s massage experience is multi-faceted. The types of massage she offers include: neuromuscular, relaxation, trigger point therapy, reflexology, sciatic nerve/lower back pain treatment, migraine/ tension headache, cranial sacral, myofascial release, TMJ disorders (Temporomandibular joint and muscle disorders), fibromyalgia, sports, active isolated stretching, and barefoot deep tissue massage.Lisa’s therapeutic touch helps the body heal and also ignites those happy feelings we all want to feel and live. “Through years of talking to so many different people from so many different backgrounds and places, I began to understand that we as human beings share one common trait: No matter where we come from or who we are, we all just want to be happy in ourselves and in our lives,” says Lisa. Before Lisa encountered ways to heal naturally, however, she faced a period of turmoil from anxiety and depression. During that time — her teenage years and into her twenties – Lisa tried to fix the problem by visiting many counselors and doctors and taking a variety of medications that offered no relief. “Then, I found the peace and well-being I was looking for through yoga and meditation,” she explains. “I am now a firm believer in the power of natural healing and the body’s potential to heal itself with a little education and some help from the mind and soul.”
