About
Kimberli Hargnett, B.S.N.H.
Natural Health Consultant
Kripalu Yoga Instructor, RYT
Kimberli has been studying Holistic Wellness for twelve years. Mrs. Hargnett’s life journey took a turn in 1995 after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. This syndrome was taking a toll on her whole being, including her family life. As a former surgical nurse with an energetic outlook on life, Kimberli’s physical ability was suddenly coming to a halt. She soon found it hard to function, struggling with chronic pain, fatigue and depression.
Mrs. Hargnett knew there had to be a better way to live a vibrant life. She began studying natural health and received her B.S. in Natural Health, Traditional Naturopathy and Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College in 1997. She then received her formal training in the Kripalu Yoga technique from Discovery Yoga in St. Augustine, Florida.
In 2008, Kimberli founded Life’s Journey Yoga and Wellness with a mission to offer instruction and awareness that helps individuals through life’s turbulent emotions and health issues. It is her desire to see others reach their fullest potential of spiritual, emotional, mental and physical wellness.

Mrs. Kelly has been a teacher for 18 years, 12 years in Clay county. She has spent this time teaching high school, pre-school, and developmental kindergarten. Life long learning is one of her passions.
Practicing yoga daily, she felt the need to learn more and set a goal to become a yoga teacher. Barbe attained this goal by studying with Deva Parnell at Discovery Yoga in St. Augustine , Florida, where she studied the Kripalu method of yoga. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certified with Yoga Alliance. She started teaching yoga by offering free classes to her colleagues at Fleming Island High School.
Barbe enjoys sharing her love of yoga with her students. The focus of her practice is on finding balance on and off the mat and finding peace and stillness within oneself. She believes ther are great restorative benefits to mind, body, and spirit by connecting movement with breath. Barbe aspires to deepen her knowledge of yoga through reading, practice, and continuing her journey as a student while working toward her 500 certification.
Penny Powell
Wellness Coordinator, RYT
Penny Powell dreamed of a life teaching about the power of yoga and living foods. Today, she is grateful to be exercising — through hands-on instruction and writing — this work she has often visualized. She is also grateful that her life’s journey has led her to Life’s Journey Yoga & Wellness Center where she now teaches a yoga class that includes a living food sample at the end of class. Because of her love of teaming up with others with like-minded goals, Penny feels blessed to share in Life’s Journey’s mission to “cultivate emotional balance for children and adults.”
In June 2008, Penny studied at the Living Foods Institute in Atlanta, GA. That same month, she was featured on a “Yoga For Kids” segment of WJXT’s “The Morning Show” where she was thrilled to explain some of the many benefits of yoga for children. Penny has received the Level 1 and 2 certificates of the Radiant Child Yoga Program (RCYP) and has conducted yoga workshops for the Orange Park Gators, a basketball organization of which her teenage son is a member.
Penny has also received her 200-hour yoga teacher’s certification from Two Suns Rising Yoga under the instruction of Didier and Ann Razon. “Journey to the Heart” contemplations were a unique and significant part of Penny’s yoga teacher training experience with Two Suns Rising. This delighted Penny, as she is a firm believer in living from the heart. Because yoga helps Penny open her heart at the deepest of levels, she says that her yoga practice has always felt like a devotion in motion, a moving prayer. In February 2010, she will be attending a teacher training for Christ-Centered Yoga and looks forward to sharing those teachings with others. Penny welcomes you to her classes with a big smile and open arms, and while she loves teaching in a group setting, she also has a special fondness for teaching private classes.
Penny’s passion for humanity and writing led her to obtain a master’s degree in humanities with a focus in journalism and a graduate certificate in professional writing in 1995 from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. She has written for a variety of newspapers, magazines, and websites. Penny currently edits Pear Magazine Online, an organics lifestyle magazine, and is the creator of www.BottlingHealth.com.

Sandy Kirk
Registered Yoga Teacher – Amrit Method (Levels I & II)
Sandy is a Registered Yoga Teacher trained in the Amrit Method – the Posture of Consciousness, Level I and Level II. This type of yoga combines asanas followed by deep stillness. There is an inward focus and meditative awareness that enable you to extend your practice into subtle, unconscious stress patterns held not only in the physical body, but also in the mental and emotional bodies. Using this method of yoga you can reconnect with the restorative, regenerative healing forces dormant within you to transform your life and your way of being in it.
As a certified facilitator in the Amrit Method of Yoga Nidra, Sandy also offers her students an amazing experience in an ancient form of meditation that takes you into the deepest level of relaxation while still remaining fully aware. Through the practice of the Amrit Method of Yoga Nidra, you can:
- Promote the healing of disease, lower blood pressure, reduce stress, boost the immune system, and slow the aging process.
- Awaken the power of the third eye where visions become reality, giving you direct access to the extraordinary powers of intuition, creativity, health and abundance.
- Free yourself from old karmic patterns with speed and ease through pure energetic release rather than from hard work and struggle.
- Reconnect to the source of your own power, manifesting a life that is consistent with your highest truth.
Continuous study directly under yoga master, Gurudev Shri Amritji, the founder of Amrit Yoga, has given Sandy the rare opportunity and training to deepen her own journey and bring the teachings forward to all of her students. (www.amrityoga.org)
Combining her yoga training and practices with her work as a Certified Integrative Life Coach has given Sandy many overlapping skills to guide her students to the place of complete wellness in every area of their life.
